• The type of event including date, time and location (please note holiday rates,
including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Eid, New Years, Valentine's Day, Norooz, will be
higher)
• Length of show, (belly-grams of 5-10 minutes to full 15-30 minute shows)
• Style of music preferred (Arabic Pop, traditional Egyptian, Lebanese, Persian,
Moroccan, Indian fusion/Bollywood, etc.)
• Cd or live music? Let me help you add another element of authenticity to your event
by having musicians! Our area has wonderful artists that may be available by
request (schedule permitting) and at an additional fee
• Specialty dances available: Raqs Al Seneyya (candle or tea tray), Raks Al Assaya
(cane), Raks Al Shemadan (candelabra for Zeffa), Raqs As Sayf (sword), veil, Wings of Isis,
zagats (finger cymbals), Raghse Chaghoo (Persian Knife Dance for weddings)
• Professional costume options from traditional two-piece bedlah to more
conservative cabaret dresses.
• Securing your event date - a non-refundable deposit due at least 6 weeks
prior to the event via money order or check. In some cases, especially travel, a contract is
also required to assist all parties in understanding their obligations and helping to ensure
each parties expectations are met.
Please note that Shadiyah cannot honor requests for bachelor parties, all male events or
exotic dancing.

dance at weddings of many ethnicities (including performing the traditional
Egyptian Zeffa), birthday parties for adults and children, anniversaries,

Dance shows in the Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD & VA area.
