About Shadiyah
Shadiyah is a professional Middle Eastern / Belly Dance performer
based in the Washington, DC, MD and VA areas.  A student of
dance since the age of five, she has trained & studied classical
ballet (Royal Academy of Dance syllabus), tap, jazz, Liturgical,
German and Italian folkloric, Persian, and Bollywood/Bhangra
dancing.  She has also studied Kuchipudi, a dramatic, interpretive
and lyrical form of classical Indian dance.  Exclusively in 2001, her
dreams were realized as she ventured into the wonderful and
culturally diverse world of Middle Eastern Dance.  

Shadiyah's dedication to the art continues though education on
the history, cultures & various dances of the Middle East,
individual dance training with an emphasis on Egyptian and
Lebanese styles of dance as well as attending workshops around the
country.
A local favorite in the Persian community, her specialties include,  
Persian dance along with various tray and balancing dances with
floor work as well as Wings of Isis.  Fusing all these beautiful art
forms into a style uniquely her own,
Shadiyah's elegant and
graceful style captivates audiences of all ages.

Shadiyah may be seen performing nationally as well as locally at
select area restaurants from Gaithersburg and Georgetown to Falls
Church and Baltimore.  
She made her
New York City debut on September 1, 2006 and
performed and taught on the
Queen Elizabeth II Ocean Liner in
January 2006.  She is available for private functions including,
Embassies, Universities, corporate events,
concerts, art galleries,
weddings, engagements, bridal showers, birthday parties for adults
and children, quincenera's, all female gatherings, graduations,
retirement homes and more!  

Her family friendly, energetic, and graceful performances are
appropriate for people of all ages
.  Shadiyah will work with you to
customize your special event, to accommodate various cultural and
religious sensitivities and to ensure a wonderful and memorable
experience for everyone!

Please note that Shadiyah cannot honor requests for bachelor parties,
all male events or exotic dancing.
